The Tony broadcast is a nominee in the Social Events category, while the Working in the Theatre series was nominated in the Online Film & Video – Documentary: Series category.
Voting is open to the public. Winners will be announced April 26 with the 20th Annual Webby Awards to be held in May.
“Last year was a groundbreaking year for the Tonys in the digital space, and we are extremely proud of the incredible work and vision of our digital team,” Heather Hitchens, president of the American Theatre Wing, and Charlotte St. Martin, president of The Broadway League, said in a joint statement. “Their creativity helps to bring theatre fans across the country a little closer to the action.”
The Webby Awards is the "leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet." Established in 1996 during the Web’s infancy, The Webbys is presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS).
