Singer-songwriter Todd Almond, whose recent musical Kansas City Choir Boy starring Courtney Love, played engagements in New York and Los Angeles, will perform a one-night-only concert at Joe’s Pub August 2 at 9:30 PM.
Joining Almond will be Lazarus and Hedwig star Michael C. Hall.
The evening promises a collection of new song as well as unexpected covers.
Almond has penned A Separate Piece, Melancholy Play, On the Levee, Girlfriend, People Like Us, Kansas City Choir Boy, Ahraihsak and We Have Always Lived in the Castle, which premiered at Yale Rep. He has appeared at 54 Below with Sherie Rene Scott in their collaboration Piece of Meat. Almond has also collaborated with Lear deBessonet on The Tempest and The Winter's Tale in Central Park. His albums Mexico City and Memorial Day are currently available.
