Following a tour across the U.K. and Ireland last summer, Titanic will make its way across Continental Europe.
Maury Yeston and Peter Stone's musical, told from the perspective of several characters aboard the fated vessel, won five Tony Awards when it premiered on Broadway in 1997, including Best Musical. "After such a wonderful UK and Ireland tour last year, I am delighted that the great ship is sailing again both in the UK and across Europe," Yeston said.
Thom Sutherland directs the production, produced alongside Menier Chocolate Factory co-founder Danielle Tarento. Sutherland's staging marked the U.K. premiere of the musical in 2013 at the Southwark Playhouse prior to a 2016 revival at the Charing Cross Theatre.
A separate production opened stateside at Arlington, Virginia’s Signature Theatre, and is eyeing a Broadway run in late 2019/early 2020.
Titanic will make stops in Woking, Munich, Mannheim, Cologne and Moscow. Tickets are available at TitanicTheMusical.co.uk.
