Sam Gold (Fun Home, Seminar, Picnic) staged the play that began previews March 13. The Realistic Joneses is produced by Jeffrey Richards, Jerry Frankel, Jam Theatricals, Stacey Mindich, Susan Gallin and Mary Lu Roffe.
The Realistic Joneses marks the Broadway playwriting debut of Eno, whose works include Middletown, Title and Deed and the solo show Thom Pain (based on nothing), which was a 2004 finalist for the Pulitzer Prize.

The work, which made its world premiere Off-Broadway in 2022, takes place in an Iranian classroom where adult students practice for an English language proficiency exam.
