News Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley Honored at National LGBTQ Task Force Gala The creators behind Broadway for Orlando and the star-studded single “What the World Needs Now” will be honored October 8 in Miami, FL.

Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley, who created the Broadway for Orlando movement and the single “What the World Needs Now” in response to the mass shooting at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, will be honored October 8 at the National LGBTQ Task Force Gala at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach.

Rudetsky and Wesley will receive the National Leadership Award for their efforts to aid victims and families affected by the shooting at an LGBT nightclub, the worst in U.S. history.

Among the stars heard on the single are Sara Bareilles, Carole King, Nathan Lane, Audra McDonald, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Sarah Jessica Parker, Bernadette Peters, Whoopi Goldberg and dozens more.

All proceeds from the sale of the song benefit the GLBT Community Center of Central Florida.
