The cast of Bandstand came out for a special film premiere screening of the 2017 original musical, June 20.
On June 25 and 28, the Broadway musical Bandstand will screen in movie theatres nationwide. Fathom Events produces the screening of the 2017 original musical, which won a Tony for Andy Blankenbuehler’s choreography.

The musical stars Corey Cott (Newsies, Gigi) as World War II vet and musical prodigy Donny Novitzki, who is trying to return to life “just like it was before” after losing his best friend in combat. When he hears of a radio contest to support the troops and meets a star vocalist in his friend’s widow Julia, played by Tony nominee Laura Osnes, he puts together the Donny Nova Band to go all the way to the top.
