Four-time Tony Award nominee David Yazbek, nominated this season for The Band's Visit, received a Sardi's portrait June 7. The cast of the show came out to see the unveiling, as did Patti LuPone, who presented the portrait, Norbert Leo Butz, and more.
The Band’s Visit, currently playing at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre, garnered a total of 11 nods, including Best Musical, Best Score for David Yazbek, Best Book for Itamar Moses, and Best Direction of a Musical for David Cromer.
