In Tennessee Williams’ 1978 play A Lovely Sunday for Creve Coeur, four women in Depression-era St. Louis live and work together in a valiant effort to stave off loneliness and despair.
A new Off-Broadway production, directed by Austin Pendleton, will star Tony nominee Kristine Nielsen (Present Laughter), Golden Globe nominee Annette O’Toole (Smallville), Jean Lichty (The Traveling Lady), and Polly McKie (The Home Place, A Day by the Sea).
Performances will begin September 14 at the Theatre at St. Clement’s ahead of a September 23 opening.
