Renée Fleming will follow statues and stories from London to Los Angeles, and now to Chicago. The Tony-nominated opera star will headline The Light in the Piazza in the Windy City this winter, marking her third engagement of the musical this year.
Fleming is set to play Margaret Johnson in the Daniel Evans-helmed staging, which, as previously announced, will play a limited engagement at London's Royal Festival Hall beginning June 14 followed by LA Opera October 12–20. Performances will run at Chicago's Lyric Opera House December 14–29.
Dove Cameron will star alongside Fleming as Margaret's daughter Clara in London and L.A.; additional casting for the Chicago bow of the Adam Guettel and Craig Lucas musical will be announced at a later date.
