The world premiere of Happy Talk opened May 16 at the Pershing Square Signature Center. The new play by Oscar-nominated actor and playwright Jesse Eisenberg, produced by the New Group and directed by Scott Elliott, stars Oscar winner Susan Sarandon and Tony nominee Marin Ireland.
In Happy Talk, saint of the suburbs and star of the community production of South Pacific, Lorraine (Sarandon), attempts to find her mother's aid, Serbian immigrant Ljuba (Ireland), a husband. The cast also features Crazy Rich Asians' Nico Santos, Tedra Millan (Present Laughter), and Daniel Oreskes (Oslo).

Happy Talk features scenic design by Derek McLane, costume design by Clint Ramos, lighting design by Jeff Croiter, and sound design by Rob Milburn and Michael Bodeen. Performances began April 30.
