News Playgirl Magazine Editor’s Dirty Girl Will Begin Run in January Dirty Girl, a play penned by former Playgirl magazine editor-in-chief Ronnie Koenig, will go up Jan. 4-27, 2007, at the Kraine Theater.

Koenig wrote the play based on her personal experience editing Playgirl from 2000 to 2002. Robert W. McMaster directs. Opening night is Jan. 6.

A release the describes the play as such: “Meet Dori Richter, a nice Jewish girl from Long Island whose life changes when she answers an ad in the newspaper seeking a ‘writer/editor who must be comfortable with male nudity.’ Dirty Girl takes audiences on a wild, comedic ride from the offices of the fictional Loverboy magazine to steamy photo shoot locales as it tells the story of Dori's quest to find a woman who is actually turned on by the images in her magazine.”

The play, which stars Koenig, Corrie Beula, Bridget Harvey, Michael Littner and Jesse Teeters, began as Koenig's one-night-only solo show at Ars Nova entitled Centerfold.

The play is presented by Horse Trade, which runs the Kraine Theater, and Firecracker Productions.
