Emmy Award winner and two-time Tony nominee Penny Fuller (Applause, The Dinner Party) will join the Broadway production of Anastasia, taking on the role of The Dowager Empress, early next year.
Fuller replaces Tony winner Judy Kaye, who will play her final performance January 6, 2019. Fuller will assume the role the week of January 7; however, an official start date was not announced.

Constantine Germanacos, a member of the show's original cast, will take over the leading role of Gleb beginning December 18. Germanacos steps into the role full-time, having served as the understudy for Gleb (in addition to playing Tsar Nicholas II and Count Ipolitov) since the musical’s 2017 Broadway arrival.
He succeeds Tony nominee Max von Essen, who exits the production December 16. Von Essen is departing to star in the national tour of Falsettos.
The Broadway cast of Anastasia is led by original cast member Christy Altomare as Anya, with Cody Simpson as Dmitry, John Bolton as Vlad, and Vicki Lewis as Countess Lily.
The Broadway adaptation of the 1997 Fox feature film is scored by Tony Award winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty. The show’s book is by Tony-winning playwright Terrence McNally.
The cast also includes Alex Aquilino, Lauren Blackman, Kathryn Boswell, Maria Briggs, Justin Scott Brown, Kyle Brown, Kristen Smith Davis, Colby Dezelick, Janet Dickinson, Wes Hart, Anika Lore Hatch, Ken Krugman, Brian Munn, Delilah Rose Pellow, James A.
