Indecent, Pulitzer Prize winner Paula Vogel’s Tony-nominated play that excavates the theatrical history behind Sholem Asch’s 1923 play God of Vengeance and the controversy surrounding its Broadway opening, will receive its West Coast premiere as part of the Center Theatre Group’s 2018-2019 season.
Rebecca Taichman, who won a Tony Award for her fluid direction of the play with music, will return to helm the Los Angeles engagement, which will run June 4–July 7, 2019. Co-produced by Center Theatre Group and Huntington Theatre Company, the production will reunite members of the original New York creative team.
