Broadway Records has announced the September 29 release of a new double-disc live album from two-time Tony winner Patti LuPone, currently starring on Broadway in War Paint. The album, titled Don't Monkey with Broadway, was recorded during a recent concert at the John W. Engeman Theatre in her hometown of Northport, Long Island.

According to press notes, LuPone takes listeners “behind the curtain on her life-long love affair with Broadway and her concern for what the Great White Way is becoming today.”

This new album is produced by Michael J. Moritz, Jr., with musical direction and arrangements by Joseph Thalken. Don't Monkey with Broadway is LuPone's third album with Broadway Records, following 2013's Far Away Places—Live at 54 Below and a reissue of her 1999 album Matters of the Heart.
