Original A Chorus Line cast members Donna McKechnie and Priscilla Lopez reunite with Don Pippin, the original music director and vocal arranger of the Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical, October 30 at Feinstein’s/54 Below.
Pippin, the Tony Award-winning Broadway music director and conductor who also worked on the original Broadway productions of Oliver!, Hello, Dolly!, Mame, Dear World, Mack & Mabel, La Cage aux Folles, Woman of the Year, and Applause, will recount highlights of his historic Broadway career in What I Did For Love: The Music & Memories of Don Pippin. Show time is 7 PM.
In addition to McKechnie and Lopez, Pippin will be joined by Tony winner Debbie Gravitte (Jerome Robbins' Broadway) and Tony Award nominee Ron Raines (Follies).
Pippin began his Broadway career in 1955, writing additional dance music for Ankles Away. He made his Broadway conducting debut with Irma La Douce in 1960, and went on to win the Tony Award in 1963 for Best Conductor and Musical Director for Oliver!
Throughout his career, Pippin worked with some of the biggest names in theatre and Hollywood, including Lauren Bacall, Carol Channing, Jerry Herman, Angela Lansbury, Michael Bennett, and more.
