Kim Fischer (Then She Fell, Mrs. Fletcher), Susannah Flood (The Cherry Orchard, Plano), Ryan Foust (Mary Page Marlowe), Brad Heberlee (Mrs. Murray’s Menagerie, A Life), and Samantha Mathis (Being Frank, Nomad Motel) will be part of the upcoming New York premiere of Bess Wohl's Make Believe at Second Stage Theater.
Newcomers Harrison Fox and Maren Heary will also make their New York stage debuts in the Michael Greif-helmed production, with further casting to come.
Make Believe will begin performances at 2ST July 30 ahead of an August 15 opening. In the new play, four kids, ages 5 to 10, are playing a game of house when their parents inexplicably disappear. Thirty-two years later, their search for answers continues.
Wohl's play Continuity is currently in previews at Manhattan Theatre Club. She returns to 2ST following the Second Stage Uptown production of American Hero. Her other plays include Barcelona, Touched, In, Cats Talk Back, and Small Mouth Sounds, as well as the musical Pretty Filthy, which she co-wrote with composer/lyricist Michael Friedman and The Civilians.
