Broadway Records will release an original cast recording of Who's Your Baghdaddy, Or How I Started the Iraq War digitally and in stores September 28.
The recording features the cast of the show's 2017 Off-Broadway production, including 2018 Tony nominee Ethan Slater (SpongeBob SquarePants), Larisa Oleynik (Mad Men), Brennan Caldwell (The Sing-Off), Jason Collins (Annie on tour), Brandon Espinoza (Tuck Everlasting, Gypsy), Joe Joseph, and Claire Neumann (Triassic Parq).
Written by former Broadway child actor Marshall Pailet (The Sound of Music, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer) and A.D. Penedo, Who's Your Baghdaddy is based on the true story of a group of spies whose vanity and office politics contributed to the worst intelligence blunder in modern history. The musical premiered in 2011 at DC's Capital Fringe Festival, winning the Best Overall Production award, and first played NYC in 2015 at the Actors' Temple. The show received its Off-Broadway premiere under the title Baghdaddy in 2017 at St. Luke's Theatre.The production featured music direction by Rona Siddiqui and orchestrations by Charlie Rosen, and the cast recording has been produced by Matthias Winter.
