North Carolina Opera has announced its 2019–2020 season, which will begin with a semi-staged presentation of Wagner’s Siegfried: Act III in Concert November 10. The concert will feature Richard Cox and Alexandra LoBiancco.

A fully staged production of Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci will be presented January 24 and 26, 2020. The cast includes Carl Tanner, Melinda Whittington, Takakoi Onishi, Jason Karn, and Kidon Choi. Keitaro Harada will conduct.

North Carolina Opera’s second production will be Mozart’s The Magic Flute, featuring tenor Eric Ferring as Tamino, soprano Madison Leonard as Pamina, and soprano Rainelle Krause as the Queen of the Night. Directed by David Paul, Joseph Mechavich will conduct the April 3 and 5 performances.

The season will also include a February 28 recital with tenor Lawrence Brownlee.
