Swedish songwriter, singer, and producer Max Martin is developing a new musical that will use songs from his catalog as inspiration, according to a London casting call. Martin has written and produced for artists Adele, Britney Spears, Katy Perry, The Backstreet Boys, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, P!nk, Robyn, and The Weekend.
According to the casting notice, which was shared on Twitter by Stuart Burt Casting, the musical is in its final stages of development. The show features a book by David West Read, direction by Luke Sheppard, choreography by Jennifer Weber, and musical supervision by Bill Sherman.
Yet to be titled, the musical is eyeing an out-of-town production in July 2019 prior to a West End run.
