Audiences will once again experience Charles Dickens' classic holiday tale in an appropriately period setting when A Christmas Carol returns to Merchant's House for the sixth straight year this winter.
Beginning November 27, "Charles Dickens" (portrayed by John Kevin Jones) will regale audiences with his beloved story in the 1832 home—the only preserved, intact 19th-century home in the city. The show is scheduled to run through December 29.
A Christmas Carol at the Merchant's House, Charles Dickens in New York, 1867 is presented by Summoners Ensemble Theatre in association with the Merchant’s House Museum. Tickets cost $45–$105; a pre-show reception in the house's kitchen with Jones is $30–$35. Merchant's House is located at 29 E. 4th St. in Manhattan.
