The claws are sharpened and ready for the debut of Matthew Wilkas and Mark Setlock's Born to Win, a story about parents and their insatiable desire to see their kids succeed in the child pageant world.

Wilkas (Gayby) is set to play Bob/Gunner, with comedian Drew Droege (Die, Mommie, Die!) as Bobby/Buddy. Also appearing are Julanne Chidi Hill (Weeds) as Pinky and Daiva Duepree (Naked Radio) as Marge/Pinky’s Mother.

Michael Matthews will helm the production, with Janet Roston as the choreography consultant.

This is Wilkas and Setlock’s second collaboration. They co-authored Pageant Play, which was performed at the Berkshire Theatre Festival in 2008.

Born to Win begins February 15 and runs through March 31. Produced by Rebecca Eisenberg, Nathan Frizzell, and Michael O’Hara, the executive producers are Michael A. Shepperd and Michael Kricfalusi.

Tickets can be purchased online at CelebrationTheatre.com.
