Boston’s Huntington Theatre Company will present a revival of the 1981 Stephen Sondheim-George Furth musical Merrily We Roll Along as part of its 2017-18 season.
Olivier Award winner Maria Friedman, who directed an acclaimed 2012 London revival of Merrily, will bring her vision to U.S. audiences with this intimate, new staging.
Friedman made her directorial debut with the musical that transferred to the West End following a sell-out run at the Menier Chocolate Factory. The production was filmed live and broadcast in cinemas in 2013. It has since been available to view on various digital platforms.
