The Goodbye Girl, which opened at Broadway's Marquis Theatre March 4, 1993, features music by Marvin Hamlisch and lyrics by David Zippel. The musical, based on the 1977 Neil Simon screenplay, starred Martin Short and Bernadette Peters. The show was nominated for five Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and ran for 188 performances.
