The previously announced Live at Zédel initiative at Crazy Coqs, which has songwriter Scott Alan as artistic director in residence, will include a series called Coq-tails and Conversations with Mark Shenton, in which the London-based theatre critic and journalist will be joined by high-profile West End guests.
Shenton is the London correspondent for Playbill.com and joint lead critic and associate editor of The Stage. He also writes for London Theatre Guide.
Shenton will be joined September 2 by Wicked stars Shoshana Bean and Rachel Tucker (both of whom have played Elphaba on Broadway) and on September 9 by Natasha Barnes and Ria Jones, both of whom found themselves thrust into the spotlight as understudies in Funny Girl and Sunset Boulevard, respectively, when star players Sheridan Smith and Glenn Close had to miss performances.
The performances will start at 5 PM. Further dates, for which guests are yet to be announced, include September 17 and 30 and October 13, 21 and 28.
