The cast album of the acclaimed revival of The Robber Bridegroom will be released September 9 from Ghostlight records. Roundabout Theatre Company's Off-Broadway production starred The Bridges of Madison County star Steven Pasquale and Legally Blonde's Leslie Kritzer.

The revival of Alfred Uhry and Robert Waldman’s musical comedy The Robber Bridegroom opened March 13 and ran through May 29 at the Laura Pels Theater. Helmed by Tony nominee Alex Timbers and choreographed by Connor Gallagher, preview performances began February 18. The cast also includes Greg Hildreth, Andrew Durand, Evan Harrington, Ahna O’Reilly, Nadia Quinn, Lance Roberts and Devere Rogers. The show features music direction by Justin Levine.

The musical is based on the 1942 Eudora Welty novella and debuted on Broadway in 1975 with Kevin Kline and Patti LuPone. Set in the Natchez Trace in Mississippi, it tells the story of bandit Jamie Lockhart, who falls for the beautiful daughter of a wealthy planter. It is described by Roundabout as “a raucous, hilarious, sexy theatrical gem with an irresistibly catchy bluegrass score.” Stand-out songs from the score include “Sleepy Man” and “Nothin’ Up.”

The Roundabout Theatre Company production is the recipient of three 2016 Lucille Lortel Awards, for Outstanding Revival, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Musical (Pasquale) and Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical (Kritzer).
