Ahead of its March 10 digital release, NPR First Listen is streaming the original Broadway cast album of Come From Away, the new rock musical that explores the lasting connection forged between a group of travelers whose planes were diverted to a small Newfoundland town by the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

The original musical features book, music, and lyrics by the Canadian husband-and-wife team Irene Sankoff and David Hein (My Mother's Lesbian Jewish Wiccan Wedding).
Come From Away will officially open March 12 at the Schoenfeld Theatre. Tony Award nominee Christopher Ashley (Memphis) directs.
The cast includes Tony Award nominee Chad Kimball, as well as Petrina Bromley, Geno Carr, Jenn Colella, Joel Hatch, Rodney Hicks, Kendra Kassebaum, Lee MacDougall, Caesar Samayoa, Q. Smith, Astrid Van Wieren, Sharon Wheatley, Josh Breckenridge, Susan Dunstan, Tamika Lawrence, and Tony LePage.
David Lai, Ian Eisendrath, August Eriksmoen, Irene Sankoff, and David Hein serve as album producers. The cast recording of Come From Away is the first album to be released by The Musical Company, the new theatrical music rights management company, which merged Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Really Useful Group and Concord Bicycle Music.
