The Playbillies, the Bluegrass band formed by members of the onstage band of Roundabout Theatre Company's 2016 production of The Robber Bridegroom, have released a cover of Jerry Herman's “Put On Your Sunday Clothes.”
The video celebrates the current revival of Hello, Dolly!, which recently received the Tony for Best Revival of a Musical. The production also earned Tony Awards for star Bette Midler, Gavin Creel, and costume designer Santo Loquasto.
The recording features Sam Sherwood on guitar, Mike Rosengarten on banjo, Douglas Waterbury-Tieman on fiddle, and Matt Cusack on bass. The video was shot and edited by Tim Grady.
