Listen Now: Leslie Odom Jr. Releases a Track from His New Christmas Album

Leslie Odom Jr., who won the 2016 Tony Award as Best Actor in a Musical for his performance in Hamilton, has released a track from his forthcoming Christmas album of reinterpreted holiday classics.

Titled Simply Christmas, the album will be released November 11 on S-Curve Records. Songs include Odom Jr.’s jazz versions of Christmas tunes, including “I’ll Be Home For Christmas,” “The Christmas Song,” “First Noel,” and more.

“I get asked about recording a Christmas album a few times a week. I hope we've made a record you'll gladly add to your collection of holiday classics,” said Odom Jr. in an earlier statement. “Simply Christmas was a real pleasure to sing and create. It's filled with everything that is special to me about the holidays.”

Odom Jr.’s jazz album on S-Curve Records debuted at #1 on Soundscan Current and Traditional Jazz Charts.
