Tony Award winner Laura Benanti will join the growing roster of stage favorites to head to Younger, the TV Land comedy starring fellow Tony winner Sutton Foster.
According to TVLine, Benanti (who returned to Broadway last year in Steve Martin’s Meteor Shower) is set to play self-made billionaire Quinn, who pitches a book on her approach to business, in a two-episode arc on the series’ upcoming fifth season.
Benanti is the latest Broadway actor set to appear on the comedy; as previously reported, Tony winner Christian Borle will also be seen in a two-episode arc this season, playing a journalist who charms Liza (the guest appearance will mark a reunion between Borle and Foster, who were married from 2006 to 2010 and shared the screen in the 2016 Netflix revival of Gilmore Girls).
Younger follows the exploits of Liza Miller (Foster), a 40-something who reenters the publishing industry disguised as a millennial. The fifth season premieres June 5; Benanti will make her debut in an August episode.
