BBC America’s Killing Eve has set a spring return. The thriller, created by Phoebe Waller-Bridge and based on Luke Jennings’ Codename Villanelle series, will kick off its second season April 7 on the network.
Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer star in the series, with the former currently nominated for a Golden Globe for her performance as MI6 operative Eve Polastri (she co-hosts the January 6 ceremony). The show is also up for Best Television Series - Drama.
The show explores the ongoing cat-and-mouse chase between Eve and Villanelle, an eccentric yet highly calculated assassin. In addition to Tony-nominated returning player Fiona Shaw, the new season will include Nina Susana, Edward Bluemel, Julian Barratt, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, and Shannon Tarbet.
Waller-Bridge is set to take center stage herself this winter as her Olivier-nominated solo show Fleabag makes its New York debut. Performances will begin February 28 at Off-Broadway’s SoHo Playhouse, with opening night set for March 7.
