Wicked's Jonah Platt, Desmin Borges (You're the Worst), and Natalie Walker, soon to be seen Off-Broadway in Alice by Heart, are among the latest performers to join the roster of rotating guest stars in Off-Broadway's NASSIM, now playing at New York City Center.
In the new play by White Rabbit, Red Rabbit playwright Nassim Soleimanpour, the performer is handed the script in a sealed envelope at the start of each performance (similar to the Iranian playwright's previous work, White Rabbit Red Rabbit).
Joining the engagement are three-time Emmy Award nominee Jeremy Beiler (SNL, Inside Amy Schumer), January 8 at 7:30 PM; Jennifer Van Dyck (Hedda Gabler, The Divine Sister), January 9 at 7:30 PM; Lucille Lortel Award nominee Andy Grotelueschen (Tootsie, Into The Woods), January 10 at 7:30 PM; Platt, January 11 at 7:30 PM; Brian Dykstra (HBO’s Def Poetry, Lucky Guy), January 12 at 2:30 PM; Lucille Lortel Award nominee Borges, January 12 at 7:30 PM; Obie Award winner Susan Pourfar (Tribes, House of Cards), January 13 at 2:30 PM; and Walker, January 13 at 7:30 PM.
The join a previously announced lineup that continues with Emmy nominee Parisse, January 3; Drama Desk winner Ken Marks (Airline Highway, Father Comes Home from the Wars) January 4; John Rapson (Sweeney Todd, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder ) January 5 matinee; Lisa Emery (Ozark, Casa Valentina) January 5; Meghan O’Neill (Animals) January 6 matinee; and Cory Michael Smith (Gotham, 1985, Carol) January 6.
The Barrow Street Theatricals production, directed by Omar Elerian, opened at New York City Center December 12. Performances are scheduled through April 2019, with additional guests to be announced at a later date.
