News Jason Robert Brown's The Last Five Years and Benj Pasek and Justin Paul's Edges Will Make Paris Debuts for Limited Engagement Two contemporary American musicals — Tony winner Jason Robert Brown's The Last Five Years and 2013 Tony nominees Benj Pasek and Justin Paul's Edges — will make their Paris debuts later this month.

The productions, presented by American Musical Theatre Live! in coordination with Paris Broadway Saigon, L’Auguste Théâtre and Music Theatre International, will be performed in English at the Auguste Théâtre.

Stéphane Ly-Cuong will direct both productions with musical direction by John Florencio. Miranda Crispin will provide vocal direction for Edges.

Performances for Edges are scheduled for June 13-15, June 26 and July 3; The Last Five Years will play June 27-28, July 6 and July 9-11.

Edges, written by Pasek and Paul, is "a song cycle which features a series of young adults on their path to self-discovery and life in general," according to press notes. Pasek and Paul were 20 when they wrote the musical in 2005. The duo has since composed songs for the musical-drama television series "Smash," and their most recent musical, A Christmas Story, received three Tony Award nominations.

The Last Five Years, by Tony winner Brown, tells the "love story of Jamie and Cathy. The show is unique in that Jamie starts the story chronologically when the couple first meets, while Cathy addresses it at the end of the couple’s relationship and works backwards through time." Off-Broadway's Second Stage Theatre recently presented a revival of the two-person musical. For ticket information visit www.augustetheatre.com.
