Roundabout Theatre Company celebrated the official opening of Amy and the Orphans March 1. The new play by Ugly Lies the Bone playwright Lindsey Ferrentino stars American Horror Story' s Jamie Brewer as a woman with Down Syndrome who is reunited with her siblings on a road trip.

Tony nominee Scott Ellis directs a cast completed by Tony winner Debra Monk (Redwood Curtain, Steel Pier), Mark Blum (The Assembled Parties), Vanessa Aspillaga, Diane Davis, and Josh McDermitt. Edward Barbanell is the understudy.

Performances are in the Laura Pels Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre Off-Broadway. Previews began February 1.
