Six-time Tony nominee Danny Burstein and stage favorite Rebecca Naomi Jones are among the cast of the New York premiere of Rajiv Joseph’s Describe the Night. The play will begin Off-Broadway performances at Atlantic Theater Company’s Linda Gross Theater November 10.
The limited engagement, directed by Giovanna Sardelli, will open officially December 5 and run through December 24.

Joining Burstein (Fiddler on the Roof) and Jones (Significant Other) are Tina Benko (The Public’s Julius Caesar), Nadia Bowers (The Farnsworth Invention), Zach Grenier (The Good Wife), Max Gordon Moore (Indecent), and Stephen Stocking (Archduke at the Mark Taper Forum).
The play was commissioned by Houston's Alley Theatre, where a separate company began performances September 15 at the Quintero Theatre—the venue change followed the impact of Hurricane Harvey, which left Texas’ Alley Theatre with severe water damage.
