Lena Hall, who won a Tony Award for her performance as Yitzhak in Hedwig and the Angry Inch—and took on the title role at select performances of the national tour—has landed her first television series.
The Broadway alum has just landed a role in TNT’s upcoming Snowpiercer. She joins the previously reported fellow Tony winner Daveed Diggs (Hamilton) in the television reboot of the 2013 film.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hall will play Sayori, a key member of the title train’s upper management who is in charge of preserving the history of the massive vehicle that houses all survivors of a global ice age—from the elite to the imprisoned lower class.
The two will be joined by Jennifer Connelly, Mickey Sumner, Alison Wright, Roberto Urbina, Katie McGuinness, Benjamin Haigh, Annalise Basso, Sasha Frolova, and Suan Park.
Hall has previously appeared on the screen in Girls and Good Girls Revolt. In addition to Hedwig and the Angry Inch, her Broadway credits include Kinky Boots, Tarzan, 42nd Street, and Cats.

Filmed in 2023, the one-night-only event featured Brian Stokes Mitchell, Audra McDonald, Peter Friedman, and more from the Ahrens and Flaherty musical's original cast.
