Following its June 11 performance, Hadestown held a post-show celebration at the Walter Kerr Theatre to honor its Tony Awards wins. The Anaïs Mitchell musical walked away from the 73rd annual Tony Awards with eight trophies, including best musical. In addition, Rachel Chavkin won her first Tony Award for her direction of the folk opera, making her, remarkably, only the fourth woman to win the Tony Award for Best Direction of a Musical in Tony Awards history.
