Whirlwind, the latest play in Jordan Jaffe’s ‘Energy’ series, celebrated its opening January 28 Off-Broadway at The Wild Project. The production, directed by Dan Amboyer, is scheduled to run through February 10.
The play tells the story of Bethany (Annapurna Siram), a health and safety manager who is tasked with distracting and diverting the efforts of Michael (Christian Conn), a wildlife advocate, from challenging the expansion of their wind farm. Her assignment becomes all the more complicated when the two become romantically entangled, and while Bethany also dodges inappropriate courting from her boss, Cooper (Johnny Wu).
In addition to Whirlwind, Jaffe’s Energy plays include Crude and Chained.
