Ain’t Too Proud—The Life and Times of The Temptations officially opened August 24 at Center Theatre Group's Ahmanson Theatre, where it is scheduled to play through September 30.
The jukebox musical will open at the Imperial Theatre (currently home to Carousel, closing September 16) in spring 2019.
With a book by Kennedy Prize-winning playwright Dominique Morisseau and a score made up of The Temptations’ hit songs, Ain’t Too Proud premiered at Berkeley Repertory Theatre, where it became the highest-grossing production in that theatre’s history.
