Ahead of its debut on the silver screen April 9, FX celebrated the premiere of Fosse/Verdon April 8 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre. The first episode of the limited series about Bob Fosse and Gwen Verdon, starring Sam Rockwell and Michelle Williams, is set to air 10 PM tonight.
Produced by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Thomas Kail, Steven Levenson, and Joel Fields, Fosse/Verdon explores the lives of the iconic Broadway duo who collaborated on such musicals as Sweet Charity, Damn Yankees, and Chicago. Rockwell and Williams are joined by a host of Broadway stars including Ethan Slater as Joel Grey, Ahmad Simmons as Ben Vereen, Kelli Barrett as Liza Minnelli, Bianca Marroquín as Chita Rivera, Norbert Leo Butz as Paddy Chayefsky, and Laura Osnes as Shirley MacLaine.
