Tony, Grammy, and Emmy winner Audra McDonald and two-time Academy Award nominee Michael Shannon are set to return to Broadway this spring in a revival of Terrence McNally’s two-hander Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune.
The play tells the story of a waitress (McDonald) and a short-order cook (Shannon) whose first date turns into a one-night stand and something more. Obie winner Arin Arbus (The Skin of Our Teeth) directs the production at the Broadhurst Theatre, set to officially open May 30.
