Audible’s premiere of Isaac Gomez’s monologue play the way she spoke opened at the Minetta Lane Theatre July 18 after beginning performances July 8.
The production, directed by Jo Bonney (Mlima’s Tale), stars La Reina del Sur’s Kate del Castillo.
Based on a series of intimate interviews, the way she spoke demonstrates the power of speaking truth. The story that unfolds details disturbing and haunting accounts of the murder of thousands of women in Juarez, Mexico, and one playwright’s journey of discovery and responsibility.
