The Off-Broadway premiere of Robyn Lynne Norris' #DateMe: An OkCupid Experiment opened at the Westside Theatre July 21 after beginning preview performances June 20. Seen in Los Angeles and Chicago, the musical comedy is the result of Norris' real-life experiment in which she created 38 “undateable” profiles on the popular dating site OkCupid.
Part improv, part immersive, and part sketch comedy, #DateMe invites all audiences to download the show app and participate in the experiment.
The show, developed with Diane Alexander and directed by Lorin Latarro (Waitress), features lyrics by Norris, Frank Caeti, Amanda Blake Davis, and Bob Ladewig, with original music by Sam Davis.
