News Glenn Close Will Be Honored in April The three-time Tony winner will receive Theatre Forward’s Theatre Artist Award.
Three-time Tony winner Glenn Close, who will return to Broadway later this season in a new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Sunset Boulevard, featuring a 40-piece orchestra, will be honored at the annual Chairman's Awards Gala April 3 at The Pierre New York (2 E. 61st St. at Fifth Avenue).

Theatre Forward and Chairman James S. Turley will lead the celebration to support American theatre. Close will be honored with the Theatre Artist Award; Roe Green, visionary arts philanthropist, will receive the Theatre Forward Leadership Award; and Center Theatre Group will receive the Achievement in Theatre Award on behalf of its 50th anniversary.

Close is a Tony winner for her performances in The Real Thing, Death of the Maiden, and Sunset Boulevard.

The Gala will include cocktails, dinner, and performances, as well as a live and silent auction. Auction proceeds will benefit the creation of theatrical works and theatre education programs across the country serving 500,000 students.
