Alan Cumming’s new television show Instinct will premiere March 11 on CBS. Written by Michael Rauch and based on the book by James Patterson, Instinct follows a former CIA operative, played by Cumming, now living as a professor and a writer who is pulled back into his old life to help stop a serial killer.

Cumming played Eli Gold on the CBS hit drama The Good Wife from 2010–16, for which he was nominated for two Golden Globe Awards and three Primetime Emmys. He hosted the Tony Awards alongside Kristin Chenoweth in 2015, which was nominated for a Primetime Emmy in the category of Outstanding Special Class Program. He won his Tony for his performance in the revival of Cabaret.
