The tenets of freedom, beauty, truth, and love take the spotlight in Moulin Rouge!, now in previews at Broadway's Al Hirschfeld Theatre. But with the timeless love story being told anew in the 21st century, is there now room for a fifth?
In the video above, the stars and creative team of the new musical ponder this question as they reveal what their fifth Bohemian value would be. Watch to see what Aaron Tveit, Karen Olivo, Danny Burstein, director Alex Timbers, and more have to say.
The stage adaptation of Baz Luhrmann's 2001 movie officially opens July 25. Tveit and Tony winner Olivo star as Christian and Satine, respectively, with Burstein as Harold Zidler, Tam Mutu as the Duke of Monroth, Sahr Ngaujah as Toulouse-Lautrec, Robyn Hurder as Nini, and Ricky Rojas as Santiago.
The musical features a book by Tony winner John Logan with choreography by Sonya Tayeh. Audiences can expect the hit songs sampled in the original movie, as well as new pop favorites released in the years since.
