“Cute, but not handsome, winsome but not precious. He wouldn’t be lost in a crowd, but he wouldn’t stand out either,” continues the description. Males aged 9–12 of any ethnicity are encouraged to audition by submitting a video here.

A Christmas Story follows the mischievous Ralphie, a bespectacled boy who dreams of getting a BB-gun for Christmas, in the adventure-filled weeks before Christmas. The musical debuted on Broadway in November 2012, and will return for especially for television with additional songs and music from Pasek and Paul.

Further casting for the project, executive-produced by Marc Platt and Adam Siegel, will be announced later. Jonathan Tolins and Robert Cary serve as co-executive producers and writers
