Performances began February 13 at the Public Theater for the American premiere of Pulitzer winner Bruce Norris’ The Low Road, with direction by Dear Evan Hansen's Michael Greif. A cast of 17 take on 50 roles in the new drama about the beginning of capitalism in America. The show will officially open March 7.

Set in the 18th century, The Low Road imagines America’s first laissez-faire capitalist, played by Looking's Chris Perfetti. Billed as a “parable about the true cost of inequality,” the play follows the young man’s path to riches at whatever cost.
Completing the cast are Tony winner Harriet Harris, three-time Tony nominee Kevin Chamberlin, Tessa Albertson, Max Baker, Daniel Davis, Crystal Dickinson, Gopal Divan, Jack Hatcher, Josh Henderson, Chukwudi Iwuji, Johnny Newcomb, Susannah Perkins, Richard Poe, Dave Quay, Aaron Michael Ray, Joseph Soeder, and Danny Wolohan.
