Lincoln Center Theater is inviting theatre industry members to a private screening of its Tony Award-nominated revival of Falsettos on June 5—just a few days ahead of the June 11 Tony Awards ceremony.
Falsettos played a limited, three-month Broadway engagement last fall, and was filmed by PBS for broadcast on Live from Lincoln Center later this year.
Falsettos is up for five Tony Awards, including Best Revival. It also scored acting nominations for Christian Borle, Andrew Rannells, Brandon Uranowitz, and Stephanie J. Block.
The cut-off date for Tony voting is June 9 at 5 PM.
The William Finn-James Lapine musical tells the story of a gay man named Marvin, his lover Whizzer, Marvin’s wife Trina, and their extended family from the early ‘80s through the early days of the AIDS crisis.
LCT (under the direction of André Bishop) joined forces with Jujamcyn Theaters to revive the musical that won Tony Awards for Best Book and Best Score in 1992.
