Tony and Drama Desk Award-winning actor Ben Vereen is set to release a new recording of the 1967 Louis Armstrong classic “What a Wonderful World,” which will drop on iTunes and Amazon November 14. Dan Watt and Michael Croiter produce for DancinDan Productions LLC and Yellow Sound Label.

“As I contemplated the powerfully relevant lyrics of this classic song ‘What a Wonderful World,’ I ask audiences to really listen to the words and think about their meaning today,” Vereen said in a statement.
“This song shows the incredible depth and artistic storytelling that makes Ben the consummate performer,” Watt said. “Ben is truly one of a kind and I am honored to be on this journey with him.”

Vereen will return to Feinstein’s/54 Below for a five-performance engagement, running November 21–25, which will include a special Thanksgiving Day show. Billed as Steppin' Out With Ben Vereen, the evening promises personal stories and songs from throughout his nearly half-century career.
