Vampirina, the new animated musical series inspired by the children’s book Vampirina Ballerina, will premiere October 1 on Disney Junior. The series features a score by musical theatre songwriters Michael Kooman and Christopher Dimond. Each episode will include original stand-alone songs by the writers.
Two-time Tony Award winner Patti LuPone guest stars as Nanpire (Vampirina’s grandmother), with fellow Tony Award winner Brian Stokes Mitchell as Grandpop. Also featured on the series are Isabella Crovetti as Vampirina, James Van Der Beek as Boris, Lauren Graham as Oxana, and Wanda Sykes as Gregori.

Here’s how the show is described, “A young vampire girl, Vampirina (aka Vee), is the new kid in town after her family moves from Transylvania to Pennsylvania. In her unfamiliar surroundings, Vee first tries to adapt, change and blend in with her schoolmates, but ultimately she learns to appreciate her unique individuality and her friends’, too.”
Vampirina premieres October 1 at 11 AM with back to back episodes on Disney Channel and Disney Junior. New episodes will be presented every Monday and Friday in October on Disney Channel and Disney Junior.
